Steve McCoy

Coach McCoy, or Coach Bones as everyone calls him, has been coaching at Galway for the last 5 years.  He has coached at every level from Jr Rovers to U18.  Currently, he is the coach of the U9 Girls Elite, the U11 Boys Elite, and the U15 Girls Elite teams.

Bones is also the President of Hingham Youth Soccer, where he has been on the board for the last ten years.  He has coached his three daughters from Kindergarten until they finished their town careers in the 8th grade.  Bones was also the Head Coach of the Hingham High School Junior Varsity Girls team for two years, going undefeated in their first year!  While he misses that, he loves coaching his Galway teams and is looking forward to another exciting year!

Coach Bones:  "I have many goals as a coach.  I want all my players prepared as well as they possibly can, whether they are playing soccer as a fun side activity, or they plan on trying out for their varsity teams when they get to High School.  But my absolute #1 goal, every year, is that any player that plays for me is absolutely DYING to sign up and play soccer again next year.  Because if they aren't, I feel like I did something wrong..."
