Charlie Davies

Charlie Davies is a passionate coach who is focused on youth development with Galway. Davies spent his career playing in Europe with stops at Hammarby in Sweden, Sochaux in France, and Randers in Denmark, before coming to play in Major League Soccer with D.C. United, New England Revolution and the Philadelphia Union. The forward also played for the United States Men’s National Team, representing the United States at the 2008 Olympics and 2009 Confederations Cup. Davies retired from playing in 2018 and began a career in broadcasting, serving as an analyst for Major League Soccer, the New England Revolution and the ACC Network. He now features for CBS as a soccer analyst and daily host on the Golazo Network’s flagship morning show, Morning Footy. 

 

Davies attended Brooks School where he was an All-American in soccer and wrestling and Boston College where he earned ACC Player of the Year honors in his final season. Davies resides in Hingham, MA with his wife, Nina, and twin boys Dakota and Rhys.
